ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE – NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Account Executive. The right candidate enjoys working in a busy, fun, dynamic, collaborative environment and has exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills. They can multi-task with ease across multiple concurrent tasks and projects.

To be considered for the position:

  • ·You have digital marketing, new business development, and sales experience in advertising, marketing, or media production

  • You have experience developing and selling digital marketing solutions and campaigns that help businesses and other organizations increase engagement, awareness, and sales
  • You understand how to get the most out of digital content online, including expert use of multiple social media platforms
  • You have experience developing marketing and sales plans – compiling and analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to capitalize on opportunities
  • You have the ability to research and analyze data, develop actionable strategies, and pitch to various internal stakeholders and external prospects
  • You can work collaboratively with internal teams to build strong relationships with clients

The Account Executive role is responsible for developing and managing leads and opportunities through multiple channels and marketing efforts, as well as through direct consultative engagement with prospective clients - from identifying and qualifying to introductory calls to closing deals. This role will work to identify the needs of different markets and prospective clients, while working with our internal team to develop pitches and proposals that exceed client expectations and goals.

As the Account Executive you will work directly with clients, our internal team of creative and production professionals, and the senior management team on internal marketing and sales plans, as well as digital media strategies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating with the senior management team to research, identify, analyze, and execute marketing and new business development initiatives – effectively communicating our offerings through our various marketing and sales channels to reach revenue goals
  • Proactively searching for new prospective clients and markets; identifying the opportunities and growing the overall lead generation pipeline – including “cold calling”
  • Efficiently managing marketing and sales activities through accurate and effective input of information in our CRM system
  • Consistently demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines, maintain marketing performance indicators, and achieve sales targets
  • Effectively prospecting for and engaging with potential new clients - evaluating, negotiating, and closing sales
  • Driving digital marketing strategies and initiatives on social media and related ad platforms for the company and our clients
  • Developing and providing detailed reports on sales and marketing the data from various platforms and/or systems - providing insights into new trends and opportunities
  • Collaborating with our internal teams to continually align our strategy, creative, production, and service offerings with market trends and opportunities
  • Leading and collaborating with our team to develop sales and marketing collateral to help increase awareness and drive revenue
  • Representing out team in a positive and professional manner at all times

This full-time position will be based out of our Kitchener office, but remote work is possible as projects and in-person meetings allow. This role will need to be prepared to travel to various locations and work varying hours as required. All work would be subject to relevant COVID-19 protocols.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5+ years successful sales and closing experience as part of a creative or media production agency or marketing department
  • 1-2+ years of digital marketing experience, including social media and related ad platforms
  • Post secondary education in a related field (e.g. marketing, business, etc.) or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of Sales and Marketing methods and tools, including the development of marketing plans, sales plans, quotes, and project briefs
  • Thorough understanding and experience in executing both traditional and digital communications projects in a creative agency, production company, or internal marketing department
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented with the ability to work equally well independently and as part of a diverse team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to multitask and prioritize multiple competing projects and tasks
  • Ability to think strategically from a marketing perspective
  • Ability to work under tight timelines
  • Strong customer service, relationship management, and teamwork mindset
  • Ability to understand and respond well to feedback and criticism
  • Strong collaborative problem-solving skills
  • Proficient working with email and productivity software (e.g. MS Office, Google Workspace, etc.)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English - written, verbal and presentation (Bilingual in French is considered an asset, but not required)
  • Class G drivers license and the ability to travel to locations not served by public transportation

COMPENSATION:

  • $60,000 to $75,000 per year plus sales performance bonuses, commensurate with experience and ability
