Reverse Logistics Group (RLG) is seeking Accountants (2) to support our rapidly growing team.

RLG is a tech-enabled service provider with twenty-four offices worldwide. We serve some of the world’s largest producers, e-commerce, and retail organizations in over eighty countries. In 2021, RLG expanded its operations into Canada. We are a small dynamic start-up team working together in Canada with ambitious growth plans to accelerate our impact.

Responsibilities

  • Month-end closing preparation (Bank rec, GL bal. & accruals) based on group policies in close collaboration with HQ in Germany
  • Prepare & analyze financial statements for accuracy and comment on variances actual vs budget
  • Responsible for accurate cost allocation for different cost centers
  • AP invoices and follow approval procedures and timely payments
  • Reconcile and record payroll entries
  • Post month-end Journal entries (Sales & Cogs accruals, fixed assets, prepaids, etc.)
  • Daily postings of accounting related transactions (general ledger, sub-ledgers, bank transactions, T&E reimbursements, etc.)
  • Review accounts receivable aging and set up collections
  • Quarterly HST/GST payments and annual tax returns & payments
  • Track & file provincial tax (GST)
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects. (Cost/back-up tracking software dev.)

Requirements

  • Degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance with 5 years of experience
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to extract financial requirements from agreements
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central
