DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accounts payable/receivable entry including invoicing and other remittances
  • Process and pay vendor invoices
  • Cheque payments and daily banking needs
  • Payroll preparation assistance
  • Coordinate financial items with other departments within the company
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

  • University degree or college diploma in finance or accounting
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in accounting or administrative role. Preference will be given to individuals with accounting background
  • Organizational skills
  • Numeric sense to accurately complete data entry and ensure reasonableness of transactions
  • Attention to detail is crucial to verify the accuracy of data and the entry of financial numbers
  • Investigate overdue accounts and develop strategies to collect outstanding balances
  • Computer proficiency in MS Word and Excel
  • Experience working with Quick Books is preferred
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
  • Knowledge of taxes and remittances
