Job Purpose:
The Accounting Assistant will predominantly assist with the Technical Accounting & Credit Control aspects within the Finance Team.
To include the daily identification, analysis and booking of technical entries, supporting both the Single Risk Underwriting and Delegated Authority business of the Canada Branch as well as policy cross-checking and completeness reconciliations.
Key responsibilities:
- Identification, analysis and booking of Single Risk remittances
- Identification, analysis and booking of Delegated Authority remittances
- Assist with monitoring of Single Risk claim bookings
- Assist with the booking of Delegated Authority transactions
- Analysis of expired underwriting policies
- Assist with the collation of Broker statement process
- Prepare monthly / quarterly reconciliations
- Assist with the preparation of monthly cash-flows
- Assist with the collation and population of the management information requirements
- Work with the team to ensure quarterly book close’s run smoothly
- Work closely with our internal underwriters & claims team
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Preferred:
- Education:
- University / College graduate
- Experience:
- Insurance knowledge / accounting experience (highly advantageous)
- Intermediate level excel capabilities

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $42,000.00-$46,000.00 per year
