Spring Lakes Golf Club is seeking the services of an Assistant Professional to help in the management of the facility’s day-to-day golf operations.

Spring Lakes Golf Club was established in 1979 and is Canada’s largest private golf course with 54 holes. The 3 unique 18’s and fantastic practice facilities that offer golfers a full driving range, a short range, a chipping green, and a putting green offers the perfect golf experience.

The ideal candidate will be responsible to help supervise and manage golf operations as well as take on the responsibility of teaching. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of customer service and total satisfaction of all members and guests, which will include, but are not limited to teaching members, checking in golfers, maintaining control of the tee sheet, organizing tournaments and leagues, overseeing golf operations, and developing good relationships with members.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervision of the Cart Shop & Pro Shop
  • Oversee all aspects of outside golf operations including the team of staff members; this includes but is not limited to golf cart parking, storage, cleaning, etc.
  • Assist with inventory controls, checking-in merchandise in accordance with procedures, organization of storage and display areas, inventory, etc
  • Participate in physical monthly inventories and accurate inventory counts
  • Help assist Event Team with Spring Lakes tournaments and member leagues as well as other special events/functions at the Club.
  • Offer members an enhanced golf instruction program offering individual and group clinics.
  • Responsible for efficient and friendly customer service throughout the pro shop, checking in golfers, accurately ringing up charges at the register and properly checking in all golfers prior to play.
  • Respond to inquiries and book tee-times for members and visitors, helping them do it online when assistance is required.
  • Converse with members and guests in a friendly manner, developing relationships to encourage a friendly environment.
  • Focus attention on members and guests needs and remain calm, professional, and courteous at all times.
  • Notify supervisors of member/guest complaints at the time they occur and resolve customer complaints as soon as possible.
  • Enforcing Dress Code, Cell Phone and other club policies set forth by Spring Lakes
  • Perform additional duties as may arise and as may be assigned.
  • Play golf with a variety of members and/or guests when time permits

QUALIFICATIONS

  • PGA of Canada member in good standing
  • Attention to detail is a priority
  • Great communication and timely follow up with members and all departments
  • Be a self starter and able to multitask as you will have a large portfolio
  • High level service standards and work etic, in order to perform roles and responsibilities
  • Strong interest in retail / merchandising and inventory management
  • Enjoys engaging with members and guests of the club
  • Expert in Rules of Golf, Golf Canada Handicap, Tee Sheet Management, Inventory Management and Teaching Software
