Shoppers Drug Mart Specialty Health Network supports our retail stores to provide the best patient care to patients who require specialty drugs. We provide patient support programs for specialty drug therapies, providing physicians with resources to manage their patients, facilitating reimbursement, and enhancing patient compliance. We deliver superior customer service to patients, healthcare providers and pharmaceutical manufacturers to improve healthcare outcomes for all stakeholders.

We are hiring an Associate Program Manager

You are responsible for supporting the Senior Program Manager with client relationship management and the ongoing management of specialty drug programs. You have a strong understanding of operational flows, market information, and program performance and are able to lead internal teams to ensure program deliverables are achieved. You are responsible for managing various aspects of manufacturer programs based on product lifecycle, complexity of services, client requirements, and product performance in market.

What you will do:

  • Support the day-to-day program needs through collaboration with Senior Program Manager and other departments as necessary
  • Prepare for and attend regular client meetings in order to provide relevant and timely program information and updates
  • Work with various internal departments to manage and facilitate program implementations and enhancements
  • Conduct/coordinate analysis of programs or specific project performance measures for presentations to clients and internal staff
  • Manage and coordinate special projects as assigned by the Senior Program Manager
  • Support Program Management team by collecting vital program performance information, relaying information/changes to affected internal departments, and proactively identifying program efficiency opportunities
  • Organize and conduct training presentations and other meetings involving internal departments, clients, healthcare professionals, patients, or other external parties
  • Report all Adverse Events (AE) and Product Technical Complaints (PTC) immediately or as soon as possible upon becoming aware of the event as per current policies and procedures.

What you will need:

  • A University degree or equivalent industry-related experience
  • 3-5 years’ account coordination experience, preferably in a healthcare field, and/or previous pharmaceutical brand management experience or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and a keen attention to detail are required
  • Must work well under pressure, with changing deadlines from external forces, changing priorities, and projects with multiple individuals within the organization
  • Previous reimbursement, customer service, or clinical experience are assets
