What you’ll help us build
Scratchpad is looking for a passionate Content Marketing Manager to drive awareness and top-of-funnel new account growth through a comprehensive content marketing strategy. This strategy will include long-form written content, blog posts, web pages, podcasts, and video content for distribution on YouTube and through social channels.
In this role, you will report directly to the VP of Marketing. You will have the opportunity to work intimately with SEO, Growth Marketing, and Product Marketing to develop and execute highly creative, differentiated, and world-class content.
This role is right for you if:
You're a great storyteller & communicator: Ability to clearly articulate stories that are well-positioned and begin with the problem that exists in the world, why it matters, and weave a narrative through personas and use cases in creative and compelling ways.
You're a strong writer: Challenge convention with strong writing skills that engage prospects. Be both writer and creator as well as reviewer and editor to build and operate a content factory.
You're a creative thinker: Believe content has no bounds. Be highly skilled at creating long-form content but also lead ideas for how written content can be disseminated into other content forms such as video, cartoons, how-to guides, and user stories.
You're a collaborator: Create and orchestrate content deliverables for prospects and work with product marketing to deliver content for users, customers, and our internal GTM team.
You're inquisitive and data-driven: Exhibit intense inquisitiveness to formulate ideas or hypotheses to run content experiments. Use data to make informed decisions about the experiments and synthesize the learnings into actions and improvements.
You're a people influencer: Manage up and across functions in marketing, across teams, and with other content creators and writers.
You're a holistic thinker: Understand, appreciate and effectively use multiple channels and touchpoints that make up the entirety of the prospect’s experience with Scratchpad from initial content engagement through and after the buyer's journey.
Develop and execute a best-in-class content distribution and engagement strategy.
Write concise, long-form content that resonates with users, their pain points, and use cases customers care about.
Craft content with flawless grammar, spelling, and punctuation, with a bias for speed.
Edit and proofread all content created by marketing.
Partner with and lead content editors and writers from freelancers and agencies.
Create marketing content from start to finish, researching and organizing facts and sources.
Project manage multiple content projects across the marketing team, independently, and with cross-functional teams.
Reflect on content created to discover insights and learn quickly what content resonates with users and what does not. Synthesize those learnings and share them regularly across the team and with leadership.
