The role requires strong communication, planning, and organizational skills. Ability to identify and organize relevant information and be able to work independently. Provide support to the finance team to ensure timely and accurate financial information is completed. This opportunity is best suited for candidates with a background in Business administration, Accounting, or closely related disciplines. Also, suitable for COOP students.

The finance assistant will be responsible for the following accounting and data entry functions:

· Data entry of inventory movements (receiving slips, daily production numbers)

· Bookkeeping, data entry and maintain financial records

· Organizing, scanning, filing expense reports from the sales representatives

· Daily reception and filing of vendor invoices. Coding invoices according to accounting GL codes. Matching invoices with POs and sending them for approval

· Daily reception and organization of Purchase Orders. Reviewing concepts, coding them according to accounting GL codes, attaching backups, emails, quotes, or any other information required for the understanding of the expense. Sending them for approval

· Sending payment remittances to vendors every 2 weeks

· Filing paychecks in their file

· Assist with other accounting and administrative activities

Qualifications:

· 1 year of administrative/accounting or Data entry experience preferred.

· Strong integrity, professionalism, and work ethic

· Highly organized, detail oriented, trustworthy, people person, collaborative, committed, great communicator, enthusiastic and energetic

· Open to feedback, and willing to learn new processes

· Good skills with Microsoft office, especially Excel

· Ability to manage and prioritize workload

· Ability to multi-task

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-25 per week

Salary: From $17.00 per hour
