Front of House/Café/Store Staff

The Academy of Lions principle foundation has been the building and support of our community for over 10 years. With over a decade’s worth of service to the community, the Academy crew is vital in upholding the Academy culture and principles at the forefront for our community by providing services and products either not offered anywhere else or conveniently to support the continued development of our community’s health and life goals.

As part of the Front Crew, you will be the immediate communication and sales point for the community. Reporting directly to the Front of House/Café Manager as well as the community manager, the Front Crew is responsible for the day to day activities associated with the café and gym memberships. Crew is responsible for working with the managers to achieve sales targets, supporting in the maintenance of the space and providing outstanding customer service for our community. As a member of the Academy of Lions crew, each member is expected to uphold the Academy culture to the fullest extent by putting the community first in their service.

Responsibilities

Café/Store

  • Handle POS interactions in regards to both the Café and Gym sales for the Academy*
  • Support in the sale of the Academy’s espresso based beverages, protein shake based beverages and health conscious food products*
  • Support in the sale of the Academy’s apparel and accessory items*
  • Clean and maintain the front of house/café on a daily basis*
  • Maintain inventory stocks, counts and organization for the café*
  • Maintain active communication on our internal application to keep up to date on the on-goings at the Academy of Lions*
  • Support in the achievement of the café and gym sale targets through various campaigns and day to day activities*

Front Desk

  • Handle POS interactions in regards to both the Café and Gym sales for the Academy*
  • Provide accurate and supportive information to potential athletes who are interested in the gym leading to membership sales*
  • Support in operational tasks/Covid-19 cleaning protocols for the gym space when necessary*
  • Reserving and signing in of clients for classes, personal training, bootcamps and ensuring proper memberships/packages are up to date before attending sessions.*
  • Assist management in event operations when required*

Other Qualifications

  • Must be willing to work early morning shifts and/or weekends
  • Interest in Fitness and/or Functional Fitness is an asset
  • Food Handler Cert or willing to get the Food Handler Cert
  • First Aid an asset but not a requirement

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

Salary: From $15.00 per hour

- Masks are optional during shift
- All clients for the gym are following Covid Protocols as currently described by Municipal and Federal
- Screening process for all coaches and crew
- Hand sanitizers on site
- Specific areas for crew to relax

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Food Handler Certification (preferred)
