In the UK alone, there are just over 2,000 publicly quoted companies on the London Stock Exchange, with approximately half quoted on the MAIN Market and half on AIM. Each of these companies has to ensure that their publicly traded stock is being fairly traded through the dissemination of accurate account of their performance that allows investors to determine whether they are a good investment. Position Summary

Proactiveinvestors has been growing steadily and is now seeking to dramatically accelerate growth. The need to create a focal point for all marketing activities within the Group has arisen; whilst this will primarily be digital, events also play a large role. This is a new role being created to evolve the marketing activities at the Group level and will be based in North America but will include developing and assisting operations in the U.K. and Australia.

Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities

Reporting to the CRO to own and implement the global marketing strategy, and coordinate operations with the following responsibilities:


  • Working with the CRO and key stakeholders to build and deliver the marketing strategy and campaign plans in line with business objectives
  • Owning online and offline marketing activities for the company for the Group and local marketing
  • Defining and roll out brand values and messages across all selected channels
  • Analyzing potential strategic partner relationships for company marketing
  • Contributing to the design and management of websites and mobile apps
  • Liaising with various departmental teams (especially Sales) to be the day-to-day marketing contact within the business scheduling and project managing work streams, including Operations for product development
  • Owing or collaborating with other stakeholders to ensure insights from our analytics platform are being leveraged with internal and external partners
  • Owning and managing marketing systems and data management within these systems
  • Providing regular internal communications and business updates to ensure that all key stakeholders are kept informed of marketing objectives and results
  • Developing and maintaining a content strategy for external thought leadership
  • Developing and maintaining a knowledge base and library for the sales team
  • Responsible for training new team members on company and product positioning
  • Managing the company’s marketing budget.

Campaign management:

  • Co-ordinating marketing campaigns with the sales activities by implementing promotional campaigns
  • Assisting in the creation and publication of all marketing material in line with the defined marketing plans.
  • Design, implement and manage Proactive’s digital and social media strategy to increase awareness
  • Manage and improve lead generation campaigns by tracking and measuring the relevant KPIs
  • Coordinating offline marketing activities (including events)
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing communications.
  • Leading day-to-day contact with external agencies (UK and International) to ensure the delivery of the marketing plan and maximize exposure

Person Specification

Skills and Experience required

  • Desired but not essential - Bachelor's degree in Marketing or qualified chartered marketer.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Confident personality & proactive approach.
  • Strong creative outlook.
  • Strong understanding of digital media (including social) & events and the opportunities within the sector
  • Understanding of the equity cash markets, stock markets and exchanges

Additional requirements are:

  • Results-proven track record of exceeding goals and evidence of the ability to consistently make good decisions
  • Experience in using CRMs, ideally Salesforce CRM, Marketing Cloud/Pardot & other marketing tools
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
