Scholars of Ancaster is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic part-time High School English tutor to join our team!

As a teacher at Scholars, you will have the opportunity to positively impact students, both personally and academically. We take pride in delivering results that matter to all of our students, and our teachers play a key role in this journey! The successful candidate will be trained on Scholars' teaching methodology.

Here's what we're looking for:
-Ontario Certified Teacher is preferred
- Candidates in Teachers College or University designation towards math and sciences are also encouraged to apply
- Previous experience working with students is an asset
- Excellent English oral and written skills
- A passion to help students reach their potential
- Exceptionally organized and high attention to detail
- Ability to teach groups of up to 2 students
- Must be able to teach English based on the Ontario Curriculum up to grade 12
- Candidates must be able to work a minimum of two shifts per week within our hours of operation below

Monday - Thursday: 4:00pm - 8:00pm
Saturdays: 9:00am - 1:00pm

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
All teachers, staff, and students are required to wear a mask while in the centre. Surfaces are regularly sanitized, including desks, work surfaces, and student materials. Frequent hand washing is a must for all staff.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Ancaster, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience:

• tutoring: 1 year (required)
