Job description


We are looking for a dynamic Human Resources/Office Administrative Assistant to join our Lassonde Beverages Canada facility in Toronto who will report to our Human Resources Manager. The Human Resources/Office Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support and work closely with the Human Resources team on various HR projects and initiatives.


  • Update various HR systems and spreadsheets to keep track of employee data
  • Maintain and update employee vacation calendars and payroll entitlement logs
  • Provide assistance with the bi-weekly payroll review
  • Maintain and update electronic employee records
  • Coordinate, track and monitor employee training and assist with developing and modifying employee training programs
  • Create employee communication correspondence and update electronic employee communication screens
  • Assist in the recruitment and selection process for all positions such as: screening resumes, conducting telephone interviews, scheduling interviews, recruitment tracking, updating job descriptions and job postings, preparing employment offers etc…
  • Coordinate pre-employment checks for potential candidates
  • Assist with onboarding of new hires so that each new hire is set up for success with the right resources, training, and support
  • Assist with the administration of our employee benefits program such as processing new enrollments, changes and responding to benefit inquiries
  • Plan, organize and execute various employee social events
  • Assist with reviewing and updating company policies, procedures, and employee handbook
  • Provide support with various employee recognition and engagement activities and initiatives
  • Work on various plant and corporate HR project and initiatives
  • Perform general office administrative duties such as creating purchase orders, updating, and closing work orders, ordering supplies, scanning, filing etc…
  • Provide back-up coverage for our Reception when required
  • Perform other administrative duties as required


  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or Business Administration
  • 2 years of Office/Human Resources Administrative experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
  • Detail oriented and ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with an ability to adapt easily to change
  • Ability to work with a high degree of diplomacy, confidentiality, and professionalism
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Able to work and communicate effectively in a diverse work environment
  • Bilingual (fluent French and English) is an asset
