WHAT POSITIONS DOES THIS INCLUDE?

Housekeeping Room Attendant - Seasonal/ Year Round - Full Time

The main purpose of this position is to ensure that all guest rooms are cleaned to Blue Mountain/Westin brand standards, according to our detailed training programs.

Hourly Rate of $17.43

Your choice of Seasonal or Year Round, Full Time Hours

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

  • Clean guest rooms: make beds, change linens, dust, vacuum, replenish amenities.
  • Sanitize bathrooms includes: cleaning and sanitizing (horizontal and vertical) all sinks, faucets, vanities, tubs, showers, walls and toilets.
  • Cleaning the kitchen includes: loading/emptying the dishwasher, cleaning and sanitizing (horizontal and vertical) all sinks, taps, dishes, cupboards, fridge, stovetop, oven and microwave.
  • Deep Cleaning units annually in a team, including assisting with moving furniture, high dusting and full clean of unit.
  • Responsible for stocking and maintaining a clean/organized working environment at all times – this includes the linen lock-up, housekeeping carts, vacuums etc.
  • Responsible for assisting in the removal of trash, recyclables and dirty linens as seen fit or directed.
  • Clean common area as required (may include night cleaning).
  • Handle guests’ complaints and take action to resolve problems – inform leadership when required.
  • Assist other housekeeping employees in maintaining clean and organized working and public areas.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • Physically fit and able to:lift up to 25 pounds on a continuous basis and lift up to 45 pounds (with assistance) occasionally throughout the day.
    Push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 100lbs on a continuous basis
    Bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks
    Handle repetitive physical motions, such as standing, sitting, stretching and bending
    Proven ability to work under tight time demands
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude at work
  • Proven guest service ability with an attention to detail
  • Previous experience in housekeeping an asset

Public Spaces Cleaner - Seasonal/Year Round - Full Time

This position is essential to the success of the Lodging Department, because it ensures that we are able to provide our guests with clean public spaces in the hotels and base lodges; including carpet and floor maintenance. The Overnight Common Area Cleaner is responsible for cleaning public spaces in the hotels, underground, base lodges, offices, Starbucks, and outlying facilities on resort. They are also responsible for providing exemplary customer service by engaging each guest; providing enthusiastic, friendly service; anticipating guest needs; and taking ownership.

Hourly Rate of $17.94

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

Mopping, sweeping and vacuuming floors.

  • Stripping, waxing and maintaining floors.
  • Cleaning and maintaining contracted areas such as Starbucks, office spaces, etc.
  • Carpet cleaning using spot treatment as well as larger equipment.
  • Dusting light fixtures, baseboards, furniture etc. (including high fixtures).
  • Empty garbage and recycling receptacles and removal.
  • Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, etc., replenish bathroom supplies, and polish metal work, such as fixtures and fittings in public bathrooms within hotel lobbies, base lodges and office buildings.
  • Assist in preparing outgoing linen for pick up.
  • Assist with stocking and pick up pool towels.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness of common area spaces throughout shift.
  • Respond to calls on hand-held devices from internal dispatch to clean spills, broken glass, etc.
  • Successful candidates over the age of 21 and hold a valid ‘G’ licence may be requested to perform occasional duties that involve the operation of a company vehicle, including guest shuttling or supplying outlying Condos with linen/supplies.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • High school or equivalent education preferred.
  • At least 6 months experience in a similar role would be an asset.
  • Training/experience with floor care and maintenance would be an asset.
  • ‘G’ class driver’s license an asset
  • Comfortable using large equipment/floor and carpet machines.

Attendant, Food & Beverage - Seasonal - Full/Part Time

The main purpose of this position is to serve our guests in one of our Food and Beverage operations (GCL, YETI or Six Pack) by maintaining a clean and safe environment for our guests

Hourly rate of $17.00

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

  • Act as a cashier for the self-serve food locations
  • Be accountable to the operation by accurately entering all products purchased by the guest
  • Serving Ice Cream and other seasonal Items throughout the Summer Season
  • Clear guests’ trays and debris from tables
  • Wipe all table and counter surfaces to consistently maintain a clean environment
  • Sweep floor and mop when scheduled
  • Assist in restocking and merchandising in the food service area
  • Assist in maintaining the washrooms which includes sweeping, mopping, emptying of trash and cleaning all surfaces
  • Ensure all cutlery is polished and restocked frequently
  • Keep the bussing station clean and tidy looking
  • Adhere to the waste management operation which includes changing garbage’s
  • Follow all health and safety standards

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • Courteous and friendly to the guest and employees at all times
  • Food and beverage experience an asset
  • Smart Serve certification an asset
  • Previous POS experience an asset
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivator and starter
  • Knowledge of food, cash handling and cleaning procedures would be an asset
  • Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize and strong attention to detail

Retail Sales Associate - Seasonal/ Year Round - Full/Part Time

The incumbent is responsible to assist in all areas of sales and merchandising within our retail stores. The Retail Sales Associate will possess a strong desire to work in a fast-paced sales culture, providing excellent customer service.

Hourly Rate of $17 (Adult); $16.16 (Student)

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

  • Be a champion of and execute the five key parts to our selling practice; GUEST – Greet, Understand, Educate, Sell and Thank.
  • Develop outstanding product knowledge and use this knowledge as a selling tool
  • Ensure all retail functions are carried out efficiently and in a timely manner
  • Follow all standard operating procedures which mirror the resort’s exceptionally high retail standards
  • Product merchandising and inventory control
  • Conduct the daily cash out
  • Ensure that store housekeeping duties are completed on a regular basis

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • No past retail experience necessary, but considered a strong asset
  • Must be guest oriented with a positive and friendly manner
  • Must have strong computer and/or cash handling skills
  • Ability to organize and multi-task effectively
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm and energy and thrive working in a dynamic sales environment
  • Must be willing to work in more than one store if needed
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
