The Learning and Development Coordinator role is an exciting opportunity to work with the Learning and Development team. Under the direction of the L&D Manager, the successful candidate will coordinate, manage, and facilitate a wide range of Departmental training programs.
Schedule various meetings, prepare meeting agenda and meeting minutes
Create reports and track departmental data
Inquire and arrange distribution of training supplies and submit access requests for new hires
Facilitate various virtual trainings for small and large groups including onboarding and check-in sessions to test the functionality of equipment. Test login access and access to network with new hire
Work with a variety of staff at various levels in SDMSHN and within the Loblaw Corporation to coordinate the scheduling of all training and onboarding sessions
Management of training content, schedules, and learning profiles
Management and maintenance of training and orientation materials, and learning profiles
Manage virtual and in-person classroom setup, facilities logistics, material reproduction and distribution. Ensure building rooms and meeting rooms are booked and prepared.
Conduct regular checks of training rooms (remote and in-person) to confirm equipment and software are in place
Manage learners’ training schedules, monitor and report on their attendance
Maintain a Training Calendar and update Training curriculum database.
Promote upcoming training initiatives and e-learning modules to SDMSHN employees
Communicate detailed training requirements, expectations, and timelines to new hire SDMSHN employees
Work with the L&D Team and Quality Control Analysts to support training initiatives, programs, and reports
Collaborate with clients and L&D team to identify training priorities and determine curriculum design, course content, and delivery methodology
Evaluation of Training
Design and apply assessment tools to evaluate training deliverables against objectives/KPI's, to measure training effectiveness and to ensure continuous improvement
Prepare and present recommendations for training improvements based on assessments, data, and survey results
The Learning & Development Coordinator will also carry out other duties and projects as required, to be delegated by the Senior Manager, Learning & Development and Manager, Learning & Development
Qu a l i fica t io n s a nd Sk i lls
Post-secondary degree/diploma in adult education/training and development or related field
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, OneNote, Power Point, Teams meeting required
Data analysis, web development, and UX design is an asset
Experience with pulling data, preparing reports, presenting information to stakeholders
Previous work experience in a coordination or administrative role required
Knowledge of adult learning, curriculum development, and learning methodologies is an asset.
Must have excellent interpersonal, presentation, problem solving and decision-making skills and superior oral and written communication and time management skills
