Bains Partners LLP is a boutique criminal/civil litigation firm located in downtown Toronto. We have a busy practice and are devoted to our clients.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

We are searching for a cheerful, reliable, hard-working person to fill this most important position. The right person is friendly, professional, and articulate when answering phone calls or accommodating clients and counsel of the firm. This is an entry level position with an opportunity for growth and development within the firm. Key responsibilities include:

o Opening the office

o Being hospitable to clients and lawyers of the firm

o Helping to keep the office neat and tidy

o Answering the phone in a timely, cheerful and respectful manner

o Transferring phone calls or taking messages accurately

o Interacting with visitors efficiently, professionally, and pleasantly

o Opening, receiving, processing, and distributing daily mail and emails

o Processing documents and exhibits received in Court or otherwise

o Opening files and filing

o Assisting with other tasks and projects as required and as experience and ability permits

o Closing the office

SKILLS:

o Ability and willingness to communicate with all people in a sympathetic and professional manner

o Punctuality and reliability

o Keen attention to detail

o Organized and goal oriented

o Strong work ethic

o Ability to absorb, learn from and respond positively to instruction

EDUCATION:

o An interest in law and human rights is ideal but an openness to instruction and development is vital

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $37,000.00-$40,000.00 per year
