Position Summary

We are looking for a Marketing Manager for our Confectionery Food Department based at our North York Office reporting into the BEO of Nestle Professional Canada. This role will lead the strategic roadmap for the brand and is a fantastic opportunity to help plan, develop and execute marketing plans to continue the growth of the Confectionery Foods portfolio.

A day in the life of...

As a Marketing Manager you will be working on our exciting Confectionery brands. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of long and short term Brand and Category plans, to ensure long-term sustainable margin enhanced growth, and short term responsiveness to market challenges. You will provide stewardship of portfolio health and strong brand building results measured by NNS, OG, marginal contribution and COP1. This role allows you to work with cross-functionally with many teams to make your plans come to life with lots of autonomy and support to really thrive.

You will also:

  • Define, monitor and analyze the NP Confectionary Food KPI's linked to the agreed strategic channels and categories, in close colaboration with local Retail team
  • Develop the local OOH confectionary market strategy inline with the strategic channels, and define and implement the key initiatives and activities required supporting the global SIP and the market NP KPI's
  • Ensure compliance with all NP and Retail directives on areas such as NHW, NPDI management, product development, brand guidelines, etc
    Ensure compliance through marketing execution to the global brand guidelines for both global and regional brands
  • Ensure execution of local marketing activities, maintain proper communication, agencies relationships and assuring right investments of TTS, PFME and events
  • Manage with Sales Head all Key Accounts across key channels and key customers ensuring annual event planning and top to top meetings are in place and working with the sales lead to define and enforce pricing and trade terms policy locally, regional and global (dependent on key accounts)
  • Close collaboration with NCI Technical team regarding production (own factories and through Co-Manufacturers.
  • Leads the ICP process for the Marketing team for confectionary and ensures appropriate alignment and engagement of Customer Development, Supply Chain, Finance. Recommends Price & Promotion and route to market strategies
  • Recommends portfolio/divisional I&R vision, objectives, and strategies to support successful execution of Bigger, Bolder and Better innovation & renovation.
    Develops and stewards the I&R pipeline (inc NHW) and negotiating with R&D, PTC, local Retail team and SBU

Your already developed marketing experience as a Marketing Assistant or Assistant Brand Manager will give you the experience you need to drive this great brand forward.

You will also:

  • Minimum 5 years marketing experience, preferably in Foodservice industry as well as in product development
  • Visionary, decisive and analytical nature with the ability to drive business results at the strategic and executional levels.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant sales experience (managing sales accounts directly or through frequent interactions with customers)
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in leading projects, teams & building a positive culture
  • Demonstrated ability to develop optimized solutions in a complex environment and across multiple stakeholders International experience and training highly valued (other market or SBU experience)
  • Experience of working in a matrix environment with the ability to influence those outside the circle of direct authority in an international level
  • University degree in Business or Marketing, and or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Agile and able to pivot in a fast paced ever changing environment, comfortable taking calculated risks and doing things differently to carve a new way forward.
  • Be passionate to build and grow brands, with ‘can-do’ attitude and a willingness to challenge the status quo
