Ontario Licensed Funeral Director Class 1 or Class 2

About Us:

We are a family owned and operated boutique funeral home and have been growing our business since 2015. We take pride in working collaboratively within the community to serve our families. Our service reach includes much of the greater Golden Horseshoe area. Our one location is in beautiful Dundas ON – the Valley Town.

Position Overview:

-Input/printing of arrangement file information and stationary items for families (memorial cards, Proof of Death Certificates, clergy records, death registrations, cremation applications, etc)

-Assisting in setting up for visitations, celebrations of life, services of remembrance

-Casketing remains, preparing of remains for family viewing

-Attending casket/urn burials at local cemeteries

-Assisting in cleaning funeral home

-Assisting in responding to phone callers during working hours

Requirements and Qualifications:

-possess a Class 1 or Class 2 Funeral Director’s Licence

-well groomed appearance

-Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving abstract

-able to take direction

-willingness to be trained in the Circle of Life approach to serving families

-Embalming work not required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

Salary: From $50,000.00 per year

Licence/Certification:

• Funeral Director Class 1 or 2 Licence (required)

Work Location: One location
