OCA Operations Assistant
This is an exciting new part-time position reporting to the Executive Director. The Operations Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation at the OCA. This role is also responsible providing on-site assistance at OCA events. At times, this role will also support ad hoc administration projects or initiatives for the broader OCA team and organization.
This is a part-time role, working out of the office in Toronto, currently at two days a week (roughly 14 hours). There is an opportunity to expand the role in the future.
You will be responsible for
Coordinating volunteer recruitment, placement, performance feedback and reviews activities.
Maintaining and updating records, databases, and social media archives.
Collaborating with volunteers, their committees, and the OCA team to identify further needs.
Assisting with details associated with meetings, conferences, and communications.
Assisting in the drafting of communication materials on digital platforms.
Assisting in coordinating the scheduling of meeting rooms and/or cancellations for conference related activities.
Managing speaker agreements, the registration lists, and tracking payments, refunds, speakers’ proposals, vendor registrations for conferences etc.
Participating in team meetings.
Performing other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for
1-2 years customer service experience, preferably in a non-profit setting.
Experience working with volunteers.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications and digital communications.
Ability to work within a team environment and independently.
Sensitivity to confidential information.
Knowledge of the camp industry is an asset.

This is a permanent part-time position with a salary of $19.00-$22.00/hour.
