Ontario’s largest Hyundai volume dealer, is seeking an experienced Parts Manager to join our growing team!
RESPONSIBILITIES :
· Attains the objectives set, using means such as appropriate purchasing policies, stock management, personnel, price setting and merchandising.
· Keeps a well balanced stock, corresponding to the needs of the service department, wholesale customers and retail customers. Controls and adjust the stock to minimize obsolete items.
· Manage an annual operating budget for the Parts Department, and is accountable for the overall profitability of the department.
· Responsible for forecasting, inventory control, purchasing, pricing, merchandising, displaying and security for the Parts Department.
· Coordinate with the Service Manager to ensure the availability of parts.
· Ensure accurate costing and crediting for all received and returned parts.
· Educate, motivate, guide and evaluate the performance of parts department staff.
· Direct and schedule activities of department staff.
· Oversee work of personnel to enhance image and customer satisfaction of dealership.
· Develop, maintain and manage the wholesale parts program to achieve a profit.
· Maintain parts inventory by monitoring obsolescence, seasonal trends, special-order parts and weekly sales.
· Maximize the use of factory stock orders and factory return privileges to reduce parts inventory over a specified number of months.
· Negotiate pricing with vendors to obtain parts/and supplies.
· Oversee and/or perform parts inventory counts. Conduct inventory reconciliation.
· Comprehend, keep current and comply with laws that affect parts sales.
· Follow all company and manufacturer policies, directives and procedures.
· Ensure staff compliance with required health and safety regulations.
· Maintains efficient communications within the parts department, as well as with other departments. Endeavours to promote harmony and team spirit with all departments
· Perform any other duties as required.
Skills Required :
· Dealership experience required (3 – 5 years)
· Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
· Good concentration with stock orders.
· Solid inventory management expertise.
· Effective administrative and management capabilities.
· Computer literate for inventory, record-keeping, parts information, etc.
