We are looking for Placement Specialist to join our team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contact prospective employers by telephone to set up recruitment profiles.
  • Provides solution-based employment counselling and ongoing support services to an assigned caseload of clients in job search, job placement, career decision-making, job retention, and other related areas to support clients in achieving their individual employment goals.
  • Enters and maintains in online data reporting systems thorough written documentation and required details for client files, ensuring that files are always up-to-date and ready for file audits.
  • Analyzes, evaluates, and interprets collected information to support clients in targeting the most suitable employment opportunities based on experience, education, and existing labour market factors.
  • Places clients into meaningful employment opportunities by matching them with job leads created through effective employer relationships and advertised job vacancies suitable for their experience, skills, and interests.
  • Negotiates and administers placement, incentive, and other agreements with employers, including wage subsidies.
  • Collaborates with fellow team members on topics such as job development and employment retention strategies that help lead clients to successful outcomes.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Commission pay

  • North York, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
