PORTFOLIO OPERATIONS ANALYST

The Opportunity:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills to join our Portfolio team. The Portfolio Operations Analyst will manage all investment administrative activities, including incoming capital calls and maintaining investment data and documentation. The Analyst will also work alongside the Finance department to perform certain reporting and tax compliance activities. Reporting to the Vice President, Portfolio, this individual will help shape this newly created role and be a key contributor to the success of the overall team deliverables. This individual will have the opportunity to interact and collaborate with various departments and management levels.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, manage, and maintain all investment documentation including KYC/AML processes
  • Manage capital call inbox, distribution notices and related funding requests
  • Maintain investor portals and liaise with external investor relations teams
  • Track, record, and report on current portfolio assets, both monthly and quarterly
  • Review and enter financial data into portfolio performance software
  • Collect tax slips and complete tax forms for all investments
  • Collaborate with various departments and provide ad-hoc support as assigned
  • Preserve confidentiality and demonstrate sound judgement

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of proven experience working in accounting, capital markets or private investment fund environments
  • Post-secondary degree
  • Strong financial literacy with ability to interpret and analyze data
  • Proven problem-solving skills and agility to anticipate and tackle any task assigned
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders
  • Exceptional attention to detail, take direction and work effectively independently
  • Advanced technological skills, including the ability to work efficiently and effectively within the Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Familiarity with investment or portfolio software would be an asset (iLevel, Monday, Addepar)
