he Project Advisor will support the planning, organizing, and delivery of agency projects. Efficient completion of project deliverables, effective quality control, and clear communication with stakeholders, along with regular reporting to management, are critical tasks that must be performed throughout each project’s lifecycle.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supports project-related activities throughout project lifecycle, including the scheduling, documentation, and other factors necessary for success;
Ensures that all required resources, including information, are readily available to support project-related decision making;
Documents project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and micro-deliverables using the appropriate software tools and/or methods;
Ensures that proper and complete project documentation is completed in a timely manner;
Works directly with Health Service Providers via email, phone conversations and face to face meetings;
Schedules, co-ordinates and participates in sector events and working group meetings (may take minutes);
Provide administrative support as required;
Ensures a positive team dynamic to ensure project progress;
Develops and implements mechanisms for tracking project progress
Works with Project Managers to conduct project briefing and debriefing sessions to identify areas for improvement, and makes recommendations based on findings;
Assists with the development of project-related marketing and communication materials.
The successful candidate will possess:
Post-secondary education related to project management (e.g. Communications, Administration, Marketing) or equivalent experience
Demonstrated success in project delivery and execution of project management methods
Key skills and abilities we are looking for:
Able to create and edit project documents, materials, and presentations,
Strong documentation skills,
Able to build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders,
Able to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines,
Knowledge of and sensitivity to issues of gender, race, sexual orientation and multicultural issues.
Extremely well-organized and motivated with the proven ability to multi-task,
Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint,
Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite products is an asset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to effectively communicate with all types of staff, including technical, professional and senior management,
Strong knowledge of Internet technologies, including Google,
Knowledge of website management is an asset,
Criminal background check;
Works a 37.5 hour workweek, Monday through Friday and as needed after hours and on weekends.
Work hours may vary depending on the needs of the project and the agency.
May provide services at the Reconnect offices and at satellite locations.
Attendance at outside meetings and special events required from time-to-time.
