Iridia Medical has an exciting opportunity to provide clinical counselling in remote industrial workplaces. Your inclusive, compassionate, and collaborative approach will be essential to the success of this new role and function. The role will require you to work in a camp on regular rotations.

Your experience:

Your previous experience in counselling will enable you:

  • To be comfortable in providing clinical counselling to adult workers with a wide range of issues
  • To be familiar with sexual assault / harassment in the workplace
  • To be an excellent listener and communicator
  • To maintain accurate record-keeping
  • To provide organizational recommendations with practical solutions
  • To screen clients so they may be supported, directed, or referred to as appropriate.
  • To consider a range of referral options that are ethically sound
  • To work with other counsellors to design, develop and implement referral services
  • To maintain confidentiality and security of all information gained
  • To contribute to the monitoring, planning, and development of future services

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • You have clinical experience in client counseling with diverse backgrounds
  • Experience in referring clients to more advanced mental health services as required
  • Experience working in unionized/non-unionized environments
  • Possesses a Masters’ Degree in counseling
  • Possesses an RCC or CCC designation
  • Abide by the professional and ethical code of conduct of BCACC/CCPA.
  • Maintain BCACC/CCPA registration, insurance, and liability requirements.
  • Be willing to travel to remote worksites - travel time will be compensated, and room & board will be provided

Positions available: 6-month Contract Full Time (1 week in/out) or Casual Part Time (minimum 1 week at a time). Rotation length is flexible and can be 7-14 days depending on preference and availability.

Salary: Up to $135,000.00 per year
