Terminal Manager

JBC Transport has been providing localized trucking services throughout the Greater Vancouver area for over 30 years. We are proudly family owned and operated and pride ourselves in having a safe and open work environment.

We currently have an opportunity for a Terminal Manager role out of our main office in Port Coquitlam.

The job would involve the following:

  • Managing the day to day operations
  • Monitoring inbound/outbound flow of expedited LTL freight
  • Managing administrative, dispatch, P&D drivers, forklift operators and supervisory staff
  • Responsible for staffing, scheduling and planning
  • High level of responsibility to customers to ensure constant communication
  • Meeting service demands and managing shipments to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Managing building/warehouse needs
  • Disciplinary functions and staff reviews
  • On call availability as operation is 24/7
  • Promote a safe workplace

Qualifications for successful individuals include:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in logistics, business management, or a similar field preferred
  • Experience in trucking or warehouse logistics
  • Management or supervisory experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Organizational skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $110,000.00-$120,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • PORT COQUITLAM, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • logistics: 2 years (preferred)
