Transport Safety Consultant

Transport Specialists is a Women Empowered Consulting Company that supports various Carriers throughout Canada and the United States.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with various Trucking Companies, to strengthen and improve safety and compliance.
  • Maintain government records and keep up to date on all government rules and regulations; Canada and United States
  • Design and implement Safety & Compliance related policies and procedures
  • Monitor CVORs and US SMS records
  • Maintain complete and compliant driver and fleet files, responsible for HOS, ELD Logs, DVIRs
  • Actively liaise with the maintenance dept to ensure equipment safe operation
  • Arrange and implement required driver training, D&A Testing and Clearinghouse Management
  • In cooperation with Trucking Companies oversee accidents and settle accident claims in a timely manner

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in Fleet Safety and Compliance or related field
  • Experience with DOT fleet compliance (federal, state, and local)
  • Must possess strong organizational and communication skills
  • Self- directed and decision-maker
  • Ability to handle crisis situations well
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
  • Strong computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Power Point, Data Management

Compensation: Negotiable based on experience
